Our 2026 Resolutions

Overview

Wow, how time flies! It seems like only yesterday we were welcoming in the new year, and now January is coming to a close, with February right around the corner. With a few weeks of 2026 now under our belts, I wanted to share a couple of our resolutions for Chronicler and talk a bit about the work we’ve been doing recently to make good on those commitments.

Our resolutions

1. Restart our change log posts

It’s been a while since we last published a change log, and I acknowledge that as a let down in communication on my part. Since our last change log in 2024, we’ve been continually working to improve Chronicler, but we haven’t made it easy for you to stay up to speed on what we’ve been up to.

That’s something that I really want to improve on in 2026 and beyond, and so I have a resolution to publish at least 2 change log posts per month for the rest of the year. Some may be long and packed with big updates while others may be short and sweet, but my goal for all of these communications is to help you understand what is coming up next in Chronicler and, by increasing our shared understanding, align our work more closely with what is most helpful to you and your therapy practice.

2. Expand the ways that Chronicler can support your work

Over the past several years, we’ve focused on robust progress notes and more recently treatment plans, but we’ve also been researching and exploring other opportunities to enhance Chronicler’s helpfulness to you and the important work that you engage in with your clients.

Last year, we recognized that in order to better serve you, Chronicler needed to become a fully HIPAA compliant solution. Putting that in place was no small effort, but it was a foundational step to enable both the enhancements that we’re working on now, and those we want to introduce in the future. Today, we are better equipped than ever to begin offering some really exciting (we think so) ways to deepen your empathy with your client more quickly and effectively than ever before.

As I write this, I fully recognize that I’m dancing around the question that naturally arises from the previous two paragraphs: “which specific ways?” Many of these satisfying specifics will be unveiled in future change logs and communications, but I can reveal now that we will soon be supporting helpful digital forms, insights and visualizations to aid effective empathy and communication in your sessions. Now, since I’m on the technical side of the house, I highly encourage you to check out this great blog post from our clinical Co Founder Andrew to get a more complete picture of how this upcoming feature set can compliment and enhance your current strategies.

In wrapping up, my co-founder Andrew and I remain excited to explore ways to more effectively help you help your clients, and grateful for your continued support of Chronicler. Here’s to a healthy 2026.

P.S. If our resolutions resonate with you, there is a two week free trial of Chronicler waiting for you whenever you’re ready.
